Variety Name	Background	Description
Eksotika	Developed from Subang 6 x Sunrise Solo. Self-polination and back crossing. Eksotika was released in 1987.	Small to medium fruit size: 600-800 g weight per fruit. Orange-red flesh. Aromatic and high sugar content (13-15° Brix). The surface of the skin has small spots and elongated grooves. The ripe fruit has yellowish skin with green stripes. Maturity index 5 is suitable for eating.
Eksotika II	A hybrid between Eksotika Line 20 x Line 19 (sister line). Released in 1991.	600-1000g weight per fruit. Flesh in orange-reddish color. The aroma and sweetness 16-17° brix are sweeter compared to Eksotika I. The surface of the skin is less spotted. Better flesh texture and longer shelf life. The flesh has a firmer texture.
Sekaki	Selection in Kg. Baru Kuala Bikam.	Medium to large size with range 1.2-1.5 kg per fruit. The fruit has clean smooth skin and free from spots. The fruit flesh is reddish-orange in color and appears slightly pale near the peel layer. It has a firm texture. The fruit flesh is moderately sweet with a sweetness level of 11-12° brix. The skin is smooth and free from spots. Maturity index 6 shows a firm condition.
Subang 6	Selection in 1972 in Sitiawan.	The fruit size is uniform with 1.3 kg per fruit. The skin turns uniformly yellow when ripe. The surface of the fruit is very clean. Free from spots or bruises. The flesh color is bright red with firm flesh and slightly pale near the peel layer. Low sugar content of 10.5-11.5° brix with less flavor. Suitable for can processing due to its attractive flesh color.
Sitiawan	Information not available	The skin is yellowish-orange with green stripes when ripe. The skin is clean and free from spots or bruises. The surface of the fruit is uneven and sometimes marked with grooved lines. The flesh color is red but slightly pale near the peel layer. Swetness level is around 10° brix. Large fruit weight of 2-4 kg per fruit.
Batu Arang	Discovered via selection in pekan Batu Arang, Selangor.	The fruit skin is yellow with green stripes when ripe. Clean and free from spots or bruises. The flesh is thick and subtle aroma. Medium swetness level around 12-13° brix. Medium fruit size: 1.5 kg per fruit.
Tolerica	A crossbreeding process between two pure lines, Viorica and P15	Fruit weight of 1.1-1.3 kg. Sweetness level of 12-13° brix. It is tolerant to papaya dieback disease (PDD).
Frangi	Information not available	High yield. Petite fruit. Uniform yellow skin when ripening. Flesh color in salmon. Sweetness level more than 13° brix. Longer shelf life (more than 2 weeks compared to other varieties).
Sunset	Sunset is an inbred sister line of Sunrise, selected from a population of seedlings from Line 9 Solo crossed with Kariya in 1961.	Salmon pink flesh. Swetness level range form 12-17° brix. Flesh thickness is around 2 cm. Resistance to anthracnose and susceptible to PRSV.
Hawaiian Sunrise Solo	Introduced in 1968. Line 9 Solo x Kariya Solo.	Small fruit size. Sweet flesh with a reddish-orange color. The fruit skin is smooth and yellowish-green when ripe. The fruit flesh becomes soft when overripe. Fruit weight is 350g-500g per fruit. High swetness level with 15-16° brix.
